Eliza Kopelman is originally from Boston, MA, but moved to NYC to pursue a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College. When not in the gym, Eliza is an intern at the Department of Investigation and provides outpatient therapy to patients suffering from OCD.
In Boston, Eliza was a competitive gymnast as a child through high school. She then attended Brandeis University where she graduated in 2015 with a double major in psychology and English. Eliza has been coaching gymnastics for over 10 years at both the recreational and the competitive team levels. Eliza aims to promote good sportsmanship and team building, in addition to fostering positive body image into each athlete she teaches. Eliza is so excited to be a part of the Discovery team and loves the opportunity she has here to engage with the kids in many of the programs that Discovery has to offer!
