Dear Discovery Families,

This fall, we have added several wonderful classes:
• A New Mom’s Support Group (moms & babies 6-12 mos.) led by Jessica Shapley.
Baby Fingers, a well-known baby sign and sing program, led by founder Lora Heller.
Caregiver Support Groups that will meet at the same time as our Early Childhood classes.
• Playwright and actress, Abigail Stone, will inspire children’s creative expression in Free To Play
• Instructor, Mariano Gil, introduces the mesmerizing world of Chess (beginner and intermediate students)
Sumo Samurai (ages 5-7) and Modern/Jazz Dance Expo (ages 7-10) led by Karin Hillman.
Open Gym Workouts for registered gymnastic students between regular classes to allow them to progress more quickly.

We are especially proud to announce that Karin Hoenig, a dearly-loved early childhood educator for two generations, has joined Discovery as our new Director. Karin brings to us a wealth of early childhood experience; most recently as Town School’s Head 3’s teacher for 18 years, and prior to that as Director of the Walden School Nursery and Lower School for 12 years.

You will find her completely accessible, wonderful to work with and a gifted educator who will guide and support you and your children in their important first school experiences.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child this fall.

Sincerely,

Lisa Stark
Executive Director
