The On My Own Program (OMO) is a warm and nurturing introduction
to nursery school. Children are introduced to their first
school experience and encouraged to develop independence,
curiosity and a love for learning.
The curriculum offers challenging and open ended learning
experiences that allow children to explore pre-math, science
and literacy skills. Through incorporation of the creative
arts, music, movement and dramatic play, children build
the skills necessary for successful transition to preschool.
Children visit our state of the art gym for gymnastics
and movement each week. Although this is a drop off program,
the separation is gradual and based on each child's unique
needs.
Graduates of our on my own program have gained admission
to some of the most selective preschool programs in the
city including Hollingworth, West Side Montessori School
and Purple Circle.
Ages 24-36 Months
Children who turn two by September 1, 2008 are eligible.
Spaces are limited and early registration is advised.

on-my-own
For
families interested in our school year On-My-Own Program,
this is a “mommy-and-me” alternative that
helps children and parents prepare for the separation
process. In this 90-minute class, children, with the participation
of their parent or caregiver, engage in learning, art,
music
and gym activities in a similar format to that of our
OMO program. This allows each child to gradually acclimate
to the nursery school environment.
There is no separation component in this program.

Children who turn 19 months by September 1st are eligible.
