My son had a wonderful summer at Discovery Camp. I mentioned to you that we both approached camp with some trepidation; however it was completely unwarranted thanks to the warmth, creativity and professionalism of you and your faculty. As I watched him enter his classroom at All Souls this year and greet his new teachers and mostly unfamiliar classmates, I saw a different, more comfortable boy with extra confidence thanks to his summer at Discovery Camp. As you know, he and his sister are enrolled in gymnastics classes this fall. There are lots of good gymnastics programs closer to us on the Upper East Side, but I wanted them to continue to benefit from Discovery's faculty, culture and facility.
My babysitter, Jane, told me that you were so kind to him the other day when she brought him along to Eileen's gymnastics class. She was very touched by how you welcomed him to sit in your office and color. Thank you
A mom pulled me aside this morning to say the following:
"I have to tell you , Elaine ... this camp has surpassed all my expectations! And they weren't low. It's truly been transformative. I wasn't sure how he would respond in a camp where he didn't know anyone. He loves it. It's been socially transforming for him! And your teachers are exceptional!!"
I didn't realize how at home Samantha feel at Discovery until we came to Ballet today. She was so joyful and so excited to see you all again. It was such a site to watch her moving in the space in such confidence and excitement. She didn't even look back when she went into the classroom!
Her friendship with Anna is an evidence of her experience at the program and I wanted to share this photo of the two of them together.
I believe that the foundations for her preschool experience at Purple Circle stems from her previous experience at Discovery and I am so happy she has the opportunity to continue this relationship. She told Rene today, pointing at a little baby in the hallway " She is just a baby, I came here when I was a baby"... She didn't forget.
You and your team truly manage to make it such place; welcoming, cozy, nurturing and memorable. And not only for her, but also for us parents. (-; Thank you for doing such extraordinary work. It is not for granted. We are very lucky to have you.

He held it to his cheek to fall asleep.
(Elaine) Oh, I thought you meant he was wearing it.
(Lisa); ... No, he snuggled with it like a 'lovey'. But he wore it all day yesterday!
Just a quick note to thank you and your team for making Tim's first day at camp an enjoyable and great experience. He said that he went on the roof (which had trucks! big fav), had a fire drill and talked all about Joan and art, which he loved!
He's really enjoyed his time at discovery and has said many fond things about you especially and he talks about belgin and tonio too (I'm sure there are more people that I'm forgetting). He's really learned so much. I'm shocked that he can write- he didn't even know how to write his name until he started kindegarten so it's great to see aidan getting a head start. I look forward to bringing Muriel there when she's 3 years of age!
I think I can go on wed or at the very least, my husband can go b/c he will be off for another week. Thanks for the pictures!! I want to make sure we get a group photo of his preschool class before he leaves. He's going to Morningside Montessori next year; and I'd like to capture his classmates and teachers during this precious time. I'm sure he will bump into you again in the fall!

We are writing this letter to express our thanks to Liz Vacco for teaching our daughters Linda & Mary in both Gymnastics and Ballet. Liz classes are exciting, age appropriate and for the kids. She engages with the children with a refreshing warmth and kindness. We are grateful that Liz and Discovery were a part of our children's first "classroom" experiences. Many Thanks.
My daughter lights up if we even mention the Discovery Programs. She cannot wait for her ballet class each week and to show us all the wonderful new things she learned.
In a Nut shell, we have been absolutely thrilled with Discovery Programs. Eleanor took the toddler art studio class for 4 weeks last summer, has been in the On-My-Own program since September and is now in a pre-ballet class. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers and staff at Discovery Programs. I have found them to be all 
extremely talented, creative, enthusiastic and caring. We evaluated Eleanor, who was a shy, sensitive toddler and who had a hard time separating come home from Discovery singing, dancing, hopping, jumping and stretching....so very excited to show us what she had learned in class that day. She loves the classes, I know it's because of the teachers. Thank you so much! You guys are amazing.
We wanted to thank you and your staff for putting such a lovely show on sunday. we truly enjoyed it and the production was beautiful.
