Lisa Stark-Founder, Executive Director
Born
in Philadelphia, Lisa Stark graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic
Arts in 1960. She appeared regionally and on Broadway as an actress and
dancer in chorus and leading roles.
In 1973, she opened her own dance program for nine neighborhood children.
That program grew and evolved into the Walden School Continuing Education
Program, and then into Discovery Programs as it is known today. Always putting
the emphasis on exceptional teachers to nurture and inspire children, Discovery
has served thousands of children and their families for two generations.
