The Spark! – June 2017

A Note From The Director
Dear Parents,
How is it already June? School is ending, camp is beginning, and there is a whole summer of fun waiting. Since our last newsletter, we have been very busy here at Discovery with end-of-school-year events and preparing for Summer and Fall. The Spring Recital was a great success and I loved seeing our new Olympics event come together.  Thank you to all that participated!
I am very excited to announce that we hired our new Assistant to the Director and Office Manager, Tori Champion. Tori just graduated in May from Indiana University and I welcome her to the Discovery community.  She is a wonderful calm presence to the busy nature of our lobby. Make sure to say hello!
We have many things to be proud of this year: another 2’s class off to preschool, our expanded 7/8’s ballet class, the sold out age 3/4 and 5/6 recreational gymnastics program, karate students winning at the Seido tournament, and Team gymnasts winning at States, Regionals and heading to Worlds in a week. I wanted to take this time to thank you all for a fantastic year! It’s been a pleasure seeing you, your children, their caregivers and their siblings every week. Enjoy your summer!
Warm Wishes,

Katie Kheel
