Dance Instructor
Sarah Danelle Roberts, born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, began her dance training at the Sharon Davis School of Dance. Roberts became a member of The Tallahassee Ballet Company as a junior dancer at age nine, rising through the company to a soloist with featured roles including Cinderella, Snow White, and The Nutcracker’s Clara and Dew Drop Fairy. She moved to New York at age 18 in 2012 and graduated from The Alvin Ailey Dance School’s Certificate program in 2015. She has performed numerous works by choreographers, including Matthew Rushing, Ray Mercer, Amy Halland, and Pedro Ruiz. Roberts was a featured dancer in Deep Love Opera, a Broadway show in the 2015 New York Musical Festival. She is currently a dancer with Mook Dance Company.
Roberts started teaching dance in 2012 at The Tallahassee Ballet. Since then she has taught workshops and teaches ballet/jazz technique classes. Roberts joined the Discovery team in 2015 assisting summer camp and ballet classes. She now teaches early childhood development classes, as well as coaches gym classes. Roberts loves being able to teach in all branches of Discovery, witnessing all the spark the kids have.
