Julia Hallissey Horner

Dance Instructor

Julia Hallissey Horner is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and currently a resident of New York City. She is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program where she graduated with a double major in Dance and Women & Gender Studies. She has danced with Mook Dance Company, Antonio Brown Dance and Matetha Dance, and now performs with Hudson Ballet Theatre. She previously worked as a dance volunteer with JUNTOS Collective dancing, teaching, and performing throughout Mexico, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. She now works as the Managing Director of JUNTOS and attends Union Theological Seminary, and working to receive a Masters of Divinity. 

Julia began teaching dance as an assistant at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio. She has since taught dance classes in jazz, hiphop, ballet, contemporary, pointe, and improvisational techniques throughout Cleveland, New York City, and Long Island. She has taught dance and worked in early childhood education at Discovery Programs for the past 3 years.
