Pre-Ballet for Toddlers and Young Children

Discovery’s pre-ballet classes foster your child’s love of dance and movement. We nurture creativity, social skills, motor and cognitive development.

Our pre-ballet classes begin with a fun warm-up with songs and stretches followed by center barre which includes traditional dance steps such as plié, relevé, piqué, etc. Students learn to count music and experience the thrill of galloping, skipping, running, swirling and leaping through space. Creative movement which allows the children to explore their own expression to the music is an important part of the classes.

Our talented and nurturing teachers help make your child’s first introduction to pre-ballet one they will never forget.

Recital Information: All dance students ages 3 and older have the opportunity to participate in our semi-annual dance recitals (December and June) for an additional fee. Children love the thrill of performing on stage for their families and friends. Fees do not include tickets.

All children in our PreBallet 2’s classes must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
